The Como State Police arrested a 39-year-old Italian man extradited from Switzerland; the man will serve the remaining sentence of 6 years and 2 months in the Como District Prison.

The State Police of Como, has arrested on the basis of an execution order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Bologna, a 39-year-old Italian, native of Asti and registered resident in Mozzanica (BG), extradited from Switzerland following his arrest in that state on 13 January 2025 and subsequently handed over on 17 January to the Border Police of Ponte Chiasso - Binational Office.

The 39-year-old had to serve a residual sentence of 6 years and two months in prison plus a fine of 900 euros, he had been convicted by the Court of Bologna for tax crimes, fraud, aggravated theft, threats and simulation of crime, all crimes committed in the Bergamo area.

After the notifications were completed, the man was handed over to the staff of the Como County Jail.
