Como: a 30-year-old reported for drunkenness and driving without a license, with an uninsured car.
The State Police, during last night, reported at large a 30-year-old Moroccan, caught drunk and without a license, while driving a car registered to a Trentino company, without inspection and insurance.
At around 2.30 last night, a patrol car engaged in territorial control, specifically in the S. Agostino area, proceeded to check a car with two people on board, which was proceeding in a manner that was not in line with the horizontal road signs, zigzagging conspicuously.
The officers immediately ascertained that the driver of the car was clearly drunk and could not stand up, and identified both occupants of the vehicle. They turned out to be two Moroccans aged 30 and 38.
While the passenger, also clearly intoxicated, turned out to be in possession of a Spanish residence permit, the check on the driver gave opposite results: he was found to be illegally present in the territory and without a driving license, as he had never obtained one.
From the checks carried out on the car, however, it turned out to be registered to a company based in Trentino Alto Adige, of which the Moroccan was unable to provide information on ownership, it also did not have the compulsory insurance and its MOT had expired.
Both taken to the police station, were reported at liberty for drunkenness and disorderly conduct – during the police check they obstructed the operations, making the work of the police officers difficult – while the driver, in addition to being subsequently handed over to the experts of the Immigration Office, was fined for the long list of violations of the Highway Code.
