Como: attempts to steal from supermarket and attacks the manager, 42-year-old arrested
The State Police, on the evening of May 2nd, arrested for robbery, personal injury, resistance and violence against a public official, a 42-year-old Moroccan, in good standing with his residence permit, resident in Sagnino and with various police records for crimes against property and against the person.
The patrol cars intervened at around 20pm at the Gran Mercato in Sagnino, a neighbourhood in the north of Como. Once the officers arrived they found the criminal still present with the goods in his hand and the director in pain who told how the events had unfolded.
The man had been removed shortly before, – the business was closing and he reacted badly to the request to leave – returning inside the supermarket passing under the shutter which remained half open taking goods and then trying to escape, but was blocked by the manager, who in response was attacked by the man with two headers – he reserved the right to seek treatment.
Furthermore, it was not at all easy for the police to manage to transport the man to the police station, in fact the 42-year-old Moroccan, using swear words and insults, put up strong and violent resistance against the officers, also kicking one of them who suffered a bruised hand, judged recoverable with a 5-day prognosis.
Once everyone was gathered at the police station, the officers reconstructed the entire story, defining the evidentiary framework against the 42-year-old Moroccan, listening to all the witnesses, director, cashier and staff of some commercial activity inside, notifying the PM on duty, himself had arrest and immediate trial occurred on May 3.
