Como: Como State Police cracks down on security, 9 Daspos signed Out of Context

The Como State Police, in the context of prevention and control activities on the territory, has also intensified the implementation of measures against those responsible for illicit conduct or particular violations that may undermine public order and safety.

In fact, Como Police Chief Marco Calì has signed nine Out of Context Daspos in the last few weeks – is a measure regulated by Article 6 of Law No. 402 of 13 December 1989, which prohibits access to places where sporting events are held, even to those responsible for crimes or illegal conduct other than those strictly sporting or related to sporting events, such as disturbances during matches, the explosion of firecrackers and smoke bombs or pitch invasion, but which include a wide range of conditions of illegality. The most frequent are those illegal conducts that include crimes related to drug dealing or against property, or against the person such as brawling or possession of weapons – to as many individuals who in the course of Judicial Police activities have been the subject of reports or arrests.

Daspo for 1 year for a 40-year-old Cantù criminal, arrested by the Carabinieri of Cantù for robbery; for a 42-year-old from Cernobbio of Egyptian origins arrested a few days ago by the Como Flying Squad for drug dealing; for a 21-year-old from Tradate (VA) reported at large for illegal possession of weapons; for a small group of kids, a 14-year-old, a 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds, all of foreign origins but Italian citizens and residents between Como and Cantù, arrested in December by patrol cars for robbery.

Two years of Daspo instead for a 44-year-old Italian, arrested several times during 2024 for drug dealing, the last arrest dates back to a few weeks ago when he was caught red-handed while weighing the doses for sale directly at home, in the house of a Brazilian from via Roncoroni, for whom the immigration office arranged for his boarding to Rio de Janeiro.
