The State Police has arrested for resistance and violence against a public official, a 16-year-old Tunisian, with a police record and living in a reception center in Como. In addition to his arrest, he was also reported at liberty for having damaged the patrol car and for receiving stolen goods, together with a fellow countryman of the same age, of an electric bicycle and an electric scooter, believed to be of illicit origin.

At around 10.30 on Thursday 19 September, a patrol car was directed by 112 NUE to via Mentana at a specialized bicycle dealer. The officers, once they arrived on the scene, found the two 16-year-old Tunisians who, clearly taken by surprise by the police, did not give an account of the ownership of an electric bicycle and an electric scooter.

The dynamics of the facts were immediately reconstructed; from what was ascertained, the two minors had initially shown up at the shop for a repair, to then propose the sale of the two electric vehicles.

At this point the officers invited the two young men to get into the car and while the first appeared calm and cooperative, the other began to to rant in an agitated manner, adopting violent attitudes towards the policemen who, with great difficulty and forced to use the spray provided, then managed to secure the 16 year old in the service car and accompany both of them to the police station despite the fact that during the journey the violent 16-year-old persisted in his behavior by kicking the car window with his feet, damaging it.

Once at the police station, the two were identified, and it emerged that both were in the circuit for managing unaccompanied foreign minors.

After the reports were drawn up against them, the 16 year old Tunisian was arrested for resisting and assaulting a public official and reported at liberty for damaging the patrol car and for the recipe of the electric bicycle, while his compatriot and peer was reported to the Juvenile Judicial Authority for receiving stolen goods.
