The Como State Police has arrested for drug dealing of narcotic substances a 59 year old Neapolitan found in possession of almost 9kg of cocaineThe man had been a resident of Casnate con Bernate (CO) for many years and already had a criminal record.
The Como Flying Squad has acquired information on the account of a Binago bar (CO), which emerged from the investigations as the epicentre of a flourishing activity of cocaine trafficking.
The mobile agents focused their attention on the place, acquiring all the necessary details on the ownership and management, but above all on the real purpose of the activity. They immediately discovered that, in addition to the normal serving of coffee, there was a proven illicit activity dedicated to the retail sale of doses of drugs.
The police conducted a monitoring on the bar and its manager for a few weeks, verifying the veracity of the information and collecting evidence relating to the crime and the responsibility of the 59-year-old.
In the trunk of the scooter five loaves of bread were found containing cocaine wrapped in foil and cellophane and stuffed into custom-made cotton socks.
The inspection continued also at Binago bar (CO) where an operator from the Canine Unit arrived with “Athena”, a German shepherd. The search revealed that, in a drawer of the bar counter, were kept 20 doses of cocaine equal to 14 grams and cash for €2150, seized as it was believed to be proceeds from the sale.
The 59-year-old was arrested for drug dealing of narcotic substances and associated with the Como District Prison.
