The Como State Police yesterday evening reported at large for aggravated theft a 36-year-old Pakistani, with multiple police records for theft, homeless and illegal in the territory.

At around 19.00pm on Thursday 6 February, the patrol car intervened in a supermarket on Via Giulio Cesare where the 36-year-old Pakistani had been stopped by a security guard employed by the business.

Once on site, the police took charge of the Pakistani and returned him to the supermarket. two bottles of alcohol that he had hidden in his jacket while walking past the cash registers without paying.

After hearing the testimony of the security guard, he said that he had kept the man under observation once he entered the supermarket because he had already been responsible for thefts carried out in the same way several times.

Taken to the Police Headquarters, his police record and his illegal immigration status emerged, therefore he was reported at liberty for aggravated theft and the documentation was forwarded to the experts of the Immigration Office who will have the aim of taking administrative action against him.
