The State Police of Como, has A 20-year-old was reported at large for possession of burglary tools, weapons and drug possession Romanian citizen from Lipomo (CO) and a 21 year old a Dominican citizen also from Lipomo (CO), with a police record and an oral warning from the Police Commissioner served on him last April, the latter for not having had his residence documents with him. The police check took place in via Varesina in Como, when a patrol car crew engaged in the widespread control of the territory intercepted the car with three individuals on board. The same vehicle was reported on social media as a suspicious vehicle that was driving around the Montorfano area (CO), where an attempted burglary had been reported.
The officers on duty then proceeded to carry out a police check. From the inspection, the following were found in the car: almost 18 grams of hashish, a cutter with an 8-centimeter long blade, two large screwdrivers and a pair of pliers, all within reach of the 20-year-old Romanian, who was reported for this possession. The other two occupants of the car were also identified, the 21-year-old Dominican – reported at large for not having with him the documents certifying his regular residence – and the 19-year-old Italian from Villa Guardia, already convicted of robbery last July.
The administrative positions of the three young people are now being examined by the experts of the Anti-Crime Police Division, who will provide the Police Commissioner with a technical report that will allow him to establish the extent of the measures to be implemented against them. Como Police Chief Marco Calì, reiterating the importance of widespread and intensified control of the territory implemented both by the State Police and by all the police forces engaged daily in combating all forms of illegality and consolidating public safety in the Como area, underlines the importance of the active and indispensable collaboration of citizens who, with their timely reports, facilitate the task of the authorities.
It is recommended that everyone always use the single emergency number 112, always active for any situation of need for public assistance. The timeliness of the reports can in fact be decisive in the effectiveness of intervention for preventive or repressive purposes in the event of the commission of crimes.
