The State Police of Como, has Arrested for resisting, violence and injuries to a public official and evasion, a 47-year-old from Como, resident in the city, with criminal and police records for crimes against property, against the person and against public administration. Has been also reported at liberty for contempt of a public official, damage and drunken disorderly conduct. The man was also under house arrest, serving a 5-year and 8-month prison sentence for mistreatment of the family. The patrol cars intervened in a supermarket in Piazza Fisac in Ca' Merlata where the 47-year-old was reported to be in a state of psychophysical alteration which was going into a rage, the real concern of the security staff however, was due to thethe presence on site of the man's youngest son, an 8-year-old boy who was visibly frightened.
The police arrived on the scene and once the minor was secured, they made contact with the 47-year-old. The man's reaction, however, left no doubts, they were attacked, first verbally with shouts, insults and threats, then with pushes and kicks, until the man even hit the hood of the patrol car with his head, damaging it. The police then secured the man and made him sit in the car but, Even inside the vehicle, the 47-year-old did not stop being violent, in fact, when closing the rear door an officer was injured on the hand by shards of glass from the window that was shattered by a kick thrown by the man.
The 47-year-old was taken to the police station while his 8-year-old son was entrusted to his mother, who was called to the scene and was unaware that her ex-husband had taken him out of the house. – in fact the little boy should have been at his paternal grandparents' house where the man was serving the house arrest to which he had been subjected –. Once at the police station, The officers had to work hard to calm the man down, who wouldn't stop screaming and kicking., also refusing medical attention from the 118 paramedics who were called in for the wound caused by the headbutt he struck the hood of the police car.
Once the photodactyloscopic surveys have been carried out, All criminal and police records were found against the man, above all it was ascertained that he was under house arrest for a sentence of more than 5 years received for mistreatment in the family. From the findings acquired and for the crimes committed, the 47 year old was arrested, informed of the activities carried out, the PM on duty ordered the detention at the police station awaiting trial. The injured officer was deemed curable with a 5-day prognosis for stab wounds to his hand. Following the trial, the experts of the Anti-Crime Police Division will have the task of drawing up a technical report regarding its position, to be submitted to the Como Police Chief Marco Cali', suitable to issue appropriate administrative measures against him.
