Three Pushers Arrested in Lake Como: Over 110 Grams of Cocaine Seized

The military, during a complex and sophisticated service aimed at repression of drug-related crimes, they intercepted and 44 year old Moroccan man checked, already identified through widespread intelligence activity as a possible drug courier, aboard a blue Renault Megane that was passing through the municipality of Gravedona ed Uniti.

The Guardia di Finanza promptly intercepted the forty-four year old who was caught off guard he clumsily tried to get rid of some of the drug he possessed. The finance police then found, hidden in the man's wallet, a dose of narcotic substance and, hidden inside the glove compartment of the vehicle, a second dose, also in this case of the cocaine type. The Finance Police, already in possession of numerous pieces of information regarding the location of the warehouse storing the illegal goods used by the Moroccan citizen, converged on Domaso together with other reinforcements from the Menaggio Company and the canine units of the Ponte Chiasso Group.

Once the home of the alleged drug dealer was identified, the military, according to a well-defined plan, entered the property and also thanks to the excellent training of the ARAN dog. They also found the smallest and most hidden quantities of drugs. In particular, they were identified and seized 110.3 gr. of cocaine which on the market would have brought in over a thousand euros; 0.6 gr. of hashish hidden in the sheets of one of the beds in the apartment and numerous pieces of tin foil used to divide the doses of drugs.

The soldiers inside the house of the first pusher also found the presence of two other individuals considered accomplices in the drug dealing activity as cohabitants of the aforementioned drug dealer and perfectly aware of the narcotic substance spread throughout the house. The Menaggio financial police decided, in consideration of what they had just discovered, to carry out a personal search of the two tenants, a 22-year-old second-generation Italian and a 31-year-old Moroccan, which led to the discovery of 1.075 euros in cash.

After having secured all sources of evidence, the military proceeded to'arrest of the three offenders in flagrante delicto for the violation referred to in article 73 of Presidential Decree 309/1990. The activities of the Guardia di Finanza continue to be part of the constant action of control of the territory, carried out in the main transit points of the Upper Lake, aimed at keeping the level of attention high also on the spread and consumption of drugs, thus allowing in the space of a few weeks arrest 6 suspected drug dealers.
