The State Police, yesterday afternoon, has arrested for drug dealing, a 24 year old from Morocco, with a criminal record for similar crimes, illegal in the area and without a declared abode.
Yesterday, as ordered by the Como Police Chief Marco Calì, the Flying Squad has organised a service of territorial control aimed at countering the phenomenon of drug dealing in wooded areas, the State Police device was deployed between the municipalities of Villa Guardia (CO), Montano Lucino (CO) e Colverde (CO), covering all possible wooded areas.
During the service, the officers monitored and acquired unequivocal elements of drug dealing, acquiring more objective evidence which then allowed them, in a wooded area of the municipality of Villa Guardia, to locate a bivouac and surprise the 24-year-old Moroccan intent on packaging drugs.
The intervention was carried out by properly cordoning off the entire area and despite the escape among the trees, the man was reached and blocked. From the inspection of his person and the bivouac, the 24 year old was found in possession of 25 and a half grams of cocaine, €2500 in cash and everything necessary for weighing and packaging the narcotic.
The man was taken to the police station arrested for drug dealing and on the instructions of the Public Prosecutor, who in the meantime had been informed of the activities carried out, associated with the Como prison.
This intervention also falls within the scope of the "itinerant" activities of fight against drug dealing in the woods which has already seen the men of the Flying Squad intervene effectively in other areas in recent months including: Albavilla, Cantu, Guanzate, Asso, Montano Lucino Bregnano, Monguzzo and Cermenate.
