Como: Nurse arrested for aggravated morphine theft at S. Anna Hospital

La Como State Police, coordinated by Prosecutor of the Republic of Como, Has 48-year-old nurse arrested for aggravated theft, employee ofASST Lariana with duties in the orthopedic department of theSt. Anna Hospital of San Fermo della Battaglia (CO). The man was arrested in flagrante delicto by the police of the hospital's Fixed Police Station, while subtracting from the drug storage a vial of morphine.

The story arose from one internal reporting relative to fictitious destinations of morphine, which highlighted how the nurse indicated false patient names on the medicine discharge register, actually taking unnecessary drugs from the hospitalized patients. Subsequent investigations revealed that the man he allegedly stole approximately 40 vials of morphine, a circumstance reported by the Health Directorate.

Thanks to Memorandum of Understanding between the Como Police Headquarters and ASST Lariana, the police officers of the Fixed Police Station were activated by the report and surprised the 48-year-old leaving the warehouse with a vial that had just been stolen, arresting him in flagrante delicto for aggravated theft and ideological falsehood.
