Como State Police have charged a 24-year-old man with assault and disrupting public service at Sant'Anna Hospital.

The red button was activated at Sant'Anna Hospital after a doctor was attacked by a 24-year-old man who arrived following an accident. The young man has been reported, and administrative action is being considered.

La Como State Police reported a 24-year-old Italian resident in Valbrona (CO) for interruption of public service e beatings, following an intervention which took place on Tuesday evening at theSant'Anna Hospital of San Fermo della Battaglia.

At about 20.00, a patrol from the Police Headquarters was sent to the scene after the activation of the red anti-violence button, the immediate alarm system installed in healthcare facilities to report attacks on staff.

According to what was reported by health workers, the young man had arrived at the emergency room after a traffic accident with a scooter.

During medical procedures, he would attacked with punches and pushes the doctor on duty, claiming that the health worker's attitude was "unprofessional".

The officers who intervened calmed the situation and identified the 24-year-old.

Accompanied in Police Headquarters, have emerged against him police record for resisting a public official.

The man was then reported for: interruption of public servicebeatings.

They are also under investigation by the Anti-Crime Division of the Como Police Headquarters any administrative measures applicable to the young person.
