The Como State Police arrested, on the afternoon of Friday 5 December, a 18 year old Albanian illegal on the national territory, caught in flagrante delicto of drug dealing.
The young man was living in a B&B in Albavilla (CO) and operated independently, managing a drug sales network considered "selective" and active in some of the most important areas of the Como area.
The operation is part of the high impact services arranged by the Department of Public Safety and intensified during the Christmas period to counteract the drug trafficking, a phenomenon that registers a strong increase during the holiday season.
The Flying Squad investigators, after gathering concrete evidence about the young man's drug dealing activity, followed his movements, monitoring several sales.
The 18-year-old made deliveries mainly to Como center, Cernobbio e Carate Urio, addressing – according to investigators – a well-defined clientele.
He was found in possession of a rental car and was arrested on board. 25 doses of cocaine hidden in the dashboard and 175 €.
The subsequent search of the B&B room allowed us to find further 51 grams of cocaine, precision balance, packaging material e 3.500 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The boy, with no criminal record, had arrived in Italy only on November 19, landing at Milano with just your passport.
He was arrested for drug dealing and held in the holding cells of the Police Headquarters, awaiting the summary hearing scheduled for this morning.
The Como Police Headquarters has announced that the anti-drug services will continue with intensity, with the aim of ensuring order, legality and a greater perception of security for citizens.
