Como: 46-year-old arrested for domestic abuse: assaults partner and police officers

Police of the State of Como arrested a 46-year-old for resisting arrest, violence, assault and mistreatment in the family Italian resident in Como. Following a report of a violent fight between a 46-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, also in the presence of their 13-year-old son, the officers of the Flying Squad went to a house in Via Vittorio Veneto in Como, the applicant's place of residence.

Upon the arrival of the first patrol car, the officers they found themselves facing the woman, visibly shaken and in tears, which showed clear signs of beatings and abrasions, while the man, in an obvious state of drunkenness, he continued to threaten his partner and also to rail against the police and was hostile to their presence.

While the woman was receiving first aid from the operators, supported by a second team that intervened to assist, the intervention of 118 was requested and she was transported to the Sant'Anna Hospital in San Fermo della Battaglia (CO), where The victim was given a 20-day prognosis.

While attempting to take the man to the police station, the officers were attacked with kicks and punches, becoming involved in a violent struggle that forced the officers to immobilize the 46-year-old to prevent further consequences.

Once at the Como Police Headquarters, the usual checks were conducted, which revealed the 46-year-old had several prior convictions for robbery, illegal possession of weapons, and crimes against property and persons. Furthermore, the man was already registered in the "SCUDO" database for similar incidents of domestic violence.

Thanks to the 43-year-old's complaint and the prompt action of the officers, the man was arrested for the crimes of resisting arrest and violence against a public official, personal injury and mistreatment within the family., informing the Public Prosecutor of the Ordinary Court of Como that he has ordered the transfer of the 46-year-old to the Como “Bassone” prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
