Within the institutional activities times to protection of victims of domestic and gender-based violence, Como Police Chief, Marco Calì, has ordered a strengthening of the administrative preventive measures issued by Anti-Crime Police DivisionThese measures represent a quick and effective tool to intervene in cases of abuse in the family, stalking e sexual violence, allowing speed up the investigations and adopt promptly protective measures towards the offended persons.
Six warnings in a few weeks
In recent weeks, the Police Commissioner Marco Calì ha signed six warning measures. Among these, one concerns a case of domestic violence which involved a Brazilian citizen born in 2001, resident in theErbese. The man, with threats and beatings, had forced his partner to live in a climate of fear and not to file a complaint. Thanks to theintervention by the Carabinieri of Lurago d'Erba (CO), the investigation of the Anti-Crime Division allowed the measure to be adopted anyway, guaranteeing the victim a first level of protection.
Stalking and confirmed persecutory behavior
The other five warnings were issued following the investigations by the Como Anti-Crime Police, who analyzed and documented the persecutory conduct of the subjects involved. The investigations, drawn up by the police and submitted to the Quaestor, have highlighted behaviors obsessive and annoying, capable of generating anxiety, fear and emotional disturbance in the victims.
In several cases, the warning was issued even in the absence of a complaint, based on the objective elements collectedAmong the episodes, one concerns a 61-year-old man from Bologna, which would have put in place persecution towards a colleague, discrediting his image in the workplace and generating in her a state of deep discomfort and concern.
