The State Police arrested a 30-year-old Italian-Brazilian, with a criminal record, resident in Bregnano (Como), for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and illegal possession of a clandestine weapon.
The Como Flying Squad, in the course of monitoring the phenomenon of drug dealing, has organized services aimed at countering drug trafficking both in the city and in the province.
It was precisely in the Bregnano area that yesterday early afternoon the mobile police officers came across a high-powered car with Swiss license plates (Ticino), seen speeding in front of them, deciding to proceed to check the only occupant.
At the wheel was the 30-year-old Italian-Brazilian who, at the sight of the policemen, began to get agitated, arousing the suspicions of the officers who, having proceeded to an inspection, collected a whole series of "surprises"; in fact, in the trunk of the car were hidden in series, 2 and a half kilos of cocaine, almost 5 thousand euros in cash and an automatic pistol with the serial number erased, including cartridges.
Immediately arrested in flagrante delicto, the 30-year-old was accompanied to his home to proceed with a search, from which other drugs and money emerged, 1 kilo and three hundred grams of marijuana, 1 kilo and a half of hashish and another 5 thousand euros in cash.
The man was taken to the police station and all his material was seized, including the car registered to him. The Public Prosecutor, having been informed of his activities, ordered him to be taken to the Como prison.
