Saturday, September 13, Lake Como - The Como State Police, collaborated by Provincial Police, last Saturday afternoon, carried out a specific and targeted territorial control service on the waters of the Lake Como, to combat illicit conduct by commercial activities present and operating on the Lario.

In fact, two vessels, one from the Internal Waters Squad of the State Police and the other from the Provincial Police, from the early afternoon of Saturday September 13, have patrolled much of the first basin of the lake, the St. Augustine Pier to start and gradually go up the east and west banks up to the height of the municipality of Link, where they concentrated the police checks, given the multitude of rental boats that had gathered to admire the famous “Orrido di Nesso”.

The checks, carried out also with the aid of equipment that detected the blood alcohol level, allowed us to identify 38 people of which 23 foreigners, 5 of these were found to have police or criminal records, while they are 12 vessels checked.

Only one fine was issued to a rental vessel for sailing too close to the coast, while all the drivers checked tested negative for alcohol.

The checks will continue in the next few weeks, as firmly desired and imparted, to each specialty branch, by the Como Police Chief Marco Calì.
