La Como State Police carried out a extraordinary territorial control service, aimed at combat the phenomenon of widespread crime and drug dealing.
In fact, an official of the Como police station, with the policemen of theCabinet Officeand Flying Squad, from the Provincial Cabinet of Scientific Police e 4 crews from the Lombardy Crime Prevention Department Milano, following the provisions issued by the Como Police Chief Marco Calì, which has implemented what was determined during the various technical meetings held by the Prefect of the Province of Como Corrado Conforto Galli, they have moved to theViale Varese area, subject of repeated reports and formal requests for intervention for the situation of degradation which was consolidating.
Particular attention it was reserved for the gardens along the avenue andarea of the Holy Crucifix, where they were present numerous makeshift bivouacs and where the deterioration had been reported several times by citizens for the presence of illegal immigrants and possible drug dealersThe outcome of the service led to identify 24 people, found in makeshift beds and then taken to the police station. Among them, an Italian citizen of North African origin and 23 foreign citizens, including two minors.
At the Police Headquarters, the tasks of the outcome of the service carried out were divided between the officers of theImmigration office and those of the Anti-Crime Police Division. Following the analysis of the positions, and with the collaboration with the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Como, who contributed to the accompanying phases, three subjects – an Egyptian born in 2004 and two Moroccans, born in 1989 and 1987 – were expelled and accompanied to the CPR in Rome, awaiting repatriation. They were also 14 removal orders issued according to Regional Urban Police Regulations, towards:

4 Tunisians (one of whom was notified of a Oral Notice from the Police Commissioner),

1 citizen of Mali Part 1994.
A further Order of the Quaestor it was also notified to a subject Senegalese Part 1960. Some of the foreigners identified in this morning's operation, for asylum requests under evaluation or for applications for residence permit renewal, they are results can be placed in suitable structures.
