Como: A 32-year-old drunk driver damages a bus and attacks officers; arrested by the State Police.

The man, a Salvadoran citizen with a criminal record, caused panic on an ASF bus on Via Bellinzona, threatening the driver and passengers with a glass bottle. Arrested for resisting arrest, assault, and criminal damage, he was tried in a summary trial.

Scary evening in Bellinzona Street in Como, Where the State Police arrested a 32-year-old Salvadoran national for damage, resistance and violence against a public official, in addition to reporting him for threats, defacement, defacement of other people's property, refusal to provide personal details and dangerous throwing of things.

The intervention took place around 21:00pm on November 3th, when a patrol of the Flying Squad of the Como Police Headquarters was alerted by the Operations center following a request for help from a ASF bus driver.

The man had reported the presence of a drunk passenger who, armed with a glass bottle, he railed against him and the passengers, going as far as break the windshield of the vehicle.

When the officers arrived, the 32-year-old showed himself violent and threatening, attempting to punch one of the policemen. Operators were forced to block it firmly and lead him into the company car to ensure the safety of those present.

Even once transferred to the police station, the man continued to maintain a aggressive and offensive conduct, coming to dirty the reception room.

The investigations revealed that he was charged with numerous complaints and convictions for threats, carrying objects capable of offending, damage, resistance and insult to a public official, obscene acts, evasion and defamation, in addition to precedents for personal injury and possession of weapons.

The man was also found to be recipient of an oral warning from the Como Police Chief.

Informed the Public Prosecutor on duty, the 32-year-old was held in the police station's holding cells waiting for immediate trial, which took place yesterday morning, November 4th at 11:00.

The episode once again highlights the readiness and effectiveness of the State Police intervention in ensuring public safety and protecting transport service personnel.
