Como: 29-year-old caught with cocaine given a ban and fine.

The Como State Police, Saturday night, administratively fined for possession of narcotic substances and notified a provision of Daspo Out of Context to a 29 year old Tunisian, resident in Cadorago (CO), in compliance with the residence regulations, with a police record and already recipient of a ban on frequenting public places in the centre of Cernobbio (CO) still valid.

About 2am between Saturday and Sunday, a patrol car engaged in the constant and widespread territorial control service proceeded to check the documents of the 29 year old while he was crossing Volta SquareThe inspection confirmed his regularity on Italian territory and his residence in Cadorago, but a certain emotional apprehension of the man made the police suspicious, who deepened the check and found in his pocket a dose of cocaine.

Taken to the police station, it emerged that the man had various police records, including involvement in a fight, and was the recipient of a three-year ban on frequenting public places in the centre of Cernobbio still valid. Furthermore, it was present a trace to notify him of a further administrative measure: an Out of Context Daspo which bans him from accessing any sports facility in the country for at least a year. This measure, signed by the Police Chief Marco Calì, was adopted on the basis of a technical report from the Como Anti-Crime Police Division, which had assessed the Tunisian as a person habitually committed crimes falling within the specific category of that provision.

The man was then fined for drugs detained and subject to a new ban that must be strictly observed. Following the seizure of the drug, the issuing of a further administrative provision will be evaluated.
