The State Police has 20-year-old Albanian reported for aggravated dangerous explosions, with no criminal record, resident in Montano Lucino (CO), reporting in the same context, a 19 year old compatriot, also with no criminal record, because he lacked the documents certifying his residence.
The patrol cars were sent to Piazza Volta, still crowded with young people in the midst of the Como nightlife as, through 112 NUE, several gunshots had been reported, fired by a person belonging to a small group of boys, who in the meantime had moved away towards the lakeside gardens. Detailed descriptions given over the phone already led to a particularity in the clothing of the person who had fired the gunshots in the air.
The reinforced territorial control device present in the historic center allowed the immediate arrival of a patrol car in Piazza Volta while other crews diverted towards the stadium area in search of the boys. In the meantime the area was searched, The policemen clearly heard further gunshots, identifying and stopping the two Albanians.
The agents immediately recovered, in a flowerbed located a few meters away, a blank gun with a red cap but completely identical to a real gun, both in size and weight.
Taken to the police station and identified precisely, witnesses were heard and the evidence that indicated was verified the 20 year old Albanian as the author of the shots in Piazza Volta, the two were respectively investigated at liberty, the first for the dangerous explosions in a public place frequented by people and the 19 year old for the lack of identification documents being a non-EU citizen. The Como Police Chief Marco Calì will sign the same DACUR provisions drawn up by the specialists of the Anti-Crime Division.
