On the afternoon of December 30, 2024, the State Police reported a 15-year-old minor, of Moroccan origin, for attempted aggravated theft at a supermarket in the city.

The security guard, during the service, noticed the young man while he was stealing a package of food and a bottle of spirits, hiding them under his clothes. The boy then tried to leave the supermarket through the front door without going through the checkout. Stopped by security personnel and asked to hand over the goods, the 15-year-old returned the stolen items.

The young man was subsequently taken to the police station. Checks carried out on the database revealed that the boy had previous convictions for violations of immigration law, drug-related offences and property crimes. Furthermore, he was the recipient of a tracing order for the notification of an act, issued by a State Police Station in Turin.

The aforementioned, an illegal immigrant on Italian territory, was in possession of a Swiss pass that certified his placement in a center for minors. At the end of the investigations, he was reported for attempted aggravated theft and subsequently entrusted to a community for minors managed by the Red Cross.
