Jesi: Complains about long waits at the Emergency Room and damages an entrance door, 40-year-old reported

He complains about the wait and, he says, the slowness with which he was given medical care; then he flies into a rage and damages the entrance door of the Emergency Room. It happened at the Carlo Urbani Hospital in Jesi. The subject, a forty year old originally from outside the province and already known to the police for similar reasons, he was reported by the Carabinieri of Jesi. In this circumstance, the emergency room medical staff, who were particularly busy providing assistance to much more serious patients, seeing the agitated state of the forty-year-old that showed no signs of abating, he was forced to request the intervention of the Carabinieri of the Jesi Company.

The military, having arrived on the scene, restored calm and identified the person responsible for the incident, being able to ascertain that the same, in the grip of an uncontrollable and unjustified state of anger and complaining of pain in one leg, had damaged the entrance door to the triage waiting room causing the electric lock to break as well as the door leaf. The investigations carried out by the military personnel who intervened, among other things, allowed us to ascertain that the subject was not new to similar episodes of violence so much so that he had previously caused similar damage to the hospitals in Fermo and Porto San Giorgio.

The same was then reported for the crime of aggravated damage pursuant to Legislative Decree 137/2024, which provides for specific increases in sanctions specifically to combat similar incidents against healthcare facilities and healthcare personnel, which have recently been recorded with increasing incidence. A proposal for a Mandatory Exit Notice with a ban on returning to the municipality of Jesi has also been issued against him.
