Fabriano: territorial force and specialized departments of the Carabinieri in the field for safety and protection of work.

The Carabinieri have carried out a vast operation to protect legality and safety in the workplace in their territory, composed of military personnel from the Fabriano Company, the local Forestry Station and the Ancona Labor Inspectorate Unit supported by civilian personnel from ARPAM, as part of a service in structured cooperation between the territorial force and specialized units arranged by the Ancona Provincial Command.

The various components in the field inspected several commercial activities, including, in particular, two car washes, finding numerous violations of workplace safety regulations.

In both activities, in fact, a reduced attention was detected to the training of the staff in terms of safety, to the preparation of the basic protection measures (placing of signs, maintenance of the machinery, elimination of electrical risks and fire risks) and to the implementation of the health obligations (appointment of the competent doctor, subjection of the staff to periodic visits).

Consequently, a ban on work in the areas affected by the inspection was ordered until the instructions given have been fully complied with.

The two owners were fined a total of €118.461,98 and given administrative sanctions of €8.800,00.

Particular attention has also been paid to environmental protection, by carrying out checks - conducted by the Carabinieri Forestali and ARPAM personnel - on the state of waste water through sampling, which will be followed by in-depth laboratory analyses to ascertain its environmental sustainability.
