Ancona: protagonist at the BIT of Milano, tourism promotion and major upcoming events.

Great success for the participation of the city ​​of Ancona to the BIT of Milano, International Tourism Exchange, where yesterday he had a prominent role inside the stand of the Marche regionThe fair represented an important showcase to present the flagship events , tourism strategy of the Doric city for the next few months.

Under the direction of theCouncilor for Tourism Daniele Berardinelli and manager Viviana Caravaggi Vivian, the main events that will characterise the tourist and cultural calendar of the city.

“The tourist offer of our city, illustrated at the BIT, represents a fundamental step to strengthen the positioning of Ancona no longer as a place of passage, but as a tourist destination”, stated theCouncilor Berardinelli. “The municipal administration is working with determination to develop experiential tourism, supported by a specific brand, and to increase widespread awareness of the city's attractiveness, through a shared vision with its local stakeholders. All supported by a clear tourism marketing strategy.”

The flagship events

Among the most important initiatives, three unmissable events stand out which will be held in Ancona in the next few months:

UlisseFest – Lonely Planet’s Travel Festival (4-6 July 2025)

For the second consecutive year, Ancona will host the 'UlyssesFest, the famous travel festival organized by Lonely Planet, arrived ateighth edition. The event confirms itself as a nationally important event for the world of tourism, offering a platform for debates, conferences and shows on new trends in the sector.

Ancona presents itself not only as a a tourist destination of great charm, but also as a laboratory of ideas for innovative and sustainable tourism.

Popsophia (8-11 May 2025)

In collaboration with theCouncilor for Culture Marta Paraventi, the appointment is confirmed with Popsophia, the festival dedicated to the relationship between philosophy and pop culture.

Four days of art, music, shows and conferences will enliven the city, consolidating the role of Ancona including cultural reference point. A BIT of Milano a strategy has been presented tourist promotion linked to the festival, which includes itineraries and tourist packages to offer a complete experience to visitors.
