Ancona: Carabinieri carry out extensive checks over the weekend to ensure safe nightlife and combat Saturday night massacres.

Over the past weekend, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Ancona carried out a series of services throughout the territory dedicated to ensuring a movida safe and combat the sad phenomenon of road accidents (cd “Saturday Massacres” evening) connected to alcohol abuse and drug use.

• In Falconara, during targeted checks, the military personnel of the Radiomobile Section of the Ancona Company checked a 26-year-old foreigner on board a motor vehicle, finding him in possession of approximately 1 g of hashish and reporting him, as a user, to the Prefecture of the capital;
• In Senigallia, the military personnel of the local Company, with the support of a drug-sniffing canine unit and a mobile laboratory for the analysis of narcotics, checked numerous vehicles, subjecting the drivers to a real-time test for psychotropic substances and sanctioning two of them (a 48-year-old and a 24-year-old) for driving under the influence of cannabinoids. Furthermore, following a search of the passenger compartment conducted with the drug-sniffing dog, small quantities of cocaine and hashish were found in the girl's car, for which the young woman was reported to the Prefecture as a user for personal use;
• In Fabriano, during a massive operation also implemented to combat home burglaries (following the chase that took place last Friday evening), the military personnel of the Arma sanctioned a 30-year-old man with an administrative fine for driving under the influence of alcohol, and reported a 0,50-year-old and a 38-year-old man to the Judicial Authority for the same offence (with a blood alcohol level exceeding 50 g/l). In the same context, the military personnel checked a North African man who was caught in a suspicious attitude, finding 1 g of hashish on him and reporting him as a user to the Prefecture;
• In Osimo traffic checks have produced 2 reports to the Judicial Authority for driving under the influence of alcohol. They are a 42-year-old North African and a 31-year-old local woman, the latter in particular caught with a very high blood alcohol level (exceeding 2 g/l) near the Loreto toll booth on the A14;
• In Jesi, the military of the Radiomobile Unit surprised a 36-year-old local man at night while driving his car under the influence of alcohol, withdrawing his license and reporting him to the Judicial Authority. In the same context, they tracked down a 43-year-old North African resident in Monte San Vito, on whom there was a prison order issued by the Judicial Authority of Ancona for mistreatment in the family and who will have to serve a sentence of 2 years and 9 months. The man was taken to the prison of Ancona. Finally, they proceeded to check a 41-year-old man from Jesi, burdened by police records for crimes against property and against the person and subjected to the preventive measure of special surveillance, surprised at night while driving in the company of another individual with similar precedents. The man was reported to the Judicial Authority for having contravened the measure.
