Fabriano: Vast operation to control the territory to combat predatory crimes and illegal driving behaviour

The Carabinieri of the Fabriano Company carried out a extensive territorial control activity through a massive use of patrols of the Radiomobile and the dependent Stations, aimed at prevent home burglaries through continuous monitoring of the presence of suspicious people or vehicles as well as to repress dangerous driving behaviors also in light of the new provisions of the Highway Code. The operation was structured on dynamic patrolling of urban centres and rural areas with housing settlements and the simultaneous implementation of road checkpoints on the main arteries, to identify the presence of criminals or vehicles reported as suspicious by other territorial and investigative branches of the Ancona Provincial Command.

116 people were identified, 21 of whom had police records, including for property crimes, and 95 vehicles were checked, including vehicle inspections to search for possible burglary tools. 4 motorists were also fined for driving under the influence of alcohol. found driving in Fabriano, Genga and Sassoferrato with blood alcohol levels above the permitted limit; they were reported to the administrative and judicial authorities, their respective licenses were withdrawn and the vehicles were entrusted to third parties.

The activities carried out, which will continue in the coming days, are part of a broader strategy of territorial control desired by the command of via della Montagnola in agreement with the Prefecture and other law enforcement agencies, aimed at to make the presence of the force felt even in the most remote areas and to put a stop to illicit or dangerous conduct that creates alarm among the communities of the Fabriano area.
