Alessandria: Wide-ranging checks, premises, commercial establishments, vehicles and people

A large unit, composed of numerous patrols from all the provinces of Piedmont, special units, NIL and NAS, carried out a wide-ranging service in the city centre and on the outskirts, where premises, commercial establishments, vehicles and people were checked. A 360-degree commitment aimed in particular at combating petty crime and any other form of illicit activity.

A service to ensure urban safety, especially in this period that is preparing to welcome the imminent holidays, in which all the activities are particularly lively and the commitment of the police forces necessarily more intense and meticulous. The fifteen Carabinieri patrols scoured the city, checking clubs, meeting places, shopping streets and nightlife. All under the supervision of the Operations Center, which coordinated the operations of the thirty Carabinieri and contributed to ensuring the safety of the personnel involved and of the citizens.

Like when he raised the alarm to the patrols for a robbery of a passer-by, who after being attacked and robbed of his cell phone, chased the robber and called 112. The patrols quickly reached the applicant and stopped the robber, who was immediately arrested.

Particular attention was paid to establishments intended for the sale and serving of alcoholic beverages, with checks also regarding compliance with health and hygiene and work regulations, with the support of the NAS and the NIL, the special departments of the force competent in specific matters.

There were several complaints, for a variety of reasons, in particular for violations in hygiene matters, with fines of over 5.000 euros, and a temporary closure of a business for violations in work matters. In all thirteen premises checked and ten sensitive areas, with approximately 120 people identified and dozens of vehicles inspected. An answer that adds to the constant response to the security requests of the traders and citizens of Alessandria.
