Alessandria: He tries to leave the market after stealing and then physically attacks the security guard and the military, 44-year-old arrested
An assault on supermarket staff is reported of the city by a drunk who stole some goods from the shelves and then violently tried to get past the checkout. The Carabinieri arrive. The man, a 44-year-old homeless man, is still attacking and threatening to kill the security guard and, when he sees the patrol approaching, he lunges at the men in uniform. He pushes them, insults them, threatens to kill them. It takes firmness and cool blood to contain it. Testimonies from the victims of the attack are heard. The man has been begging customers for money in front of the supermarket entrance for some time and throughout the day he has repeatedly harassed and threatened those who did not comply with his insistent requests for money. Then the situation degenerated.
He entered the supermarket, drunk and aggressive, he took two bottles of wine and tried to leave without paying. The staff's attempt to stop him was in vain: furious, he attacked the manager and the security guard, pushing them and making clear and unequivocal death threats. The Carabinieri take him in the barracks, where he continued with his conduct, becoming increasingly violent and aggressive. He was arrested in flagrante delicto for improper robbery and violence, threats and resistance to a Public Official and reported for disorderly drunkenness.
A few hours earlier, he had already been reported for another theft, again to the detriment of the same supermarket, from which he had stolen other goods. After the arrest was validated by the Court of Alessandria, the 44-year-old was subjected to the measure of being banned from residing in the Province of Alessandria.
