Alessandria: At the ITIS “Volta”, the photographic exhibition “100 years of peace”
An exhibition that will allow you to travel the Nine hundred, Century of genocide and mass destruction, but presenting in the first instance paths of peace and therefore it development of forms of unarmed struggle and resistance, starting from the period of the Great War: for the whole April it will be possible to visit at theHigher Education Institute “Alessandro Volta” of Alessandria, in the Marengo 42 stand, a hundred images that make “100 Years of Peace”, a collection of photographs which deal with the issues 3 big themes or how to overcome the idea of the enemy and refuse war, what is the strength of nonviolence to build justice, as well as make peace with Nature because Gaia is our common home; furthermore, a section is dedicated to women's commitment against wars and another to the nuclear danger.
THEinaugurazione is expected to Tuesday 8 April at 10,00pm and the works will remain on display until the end of the month, with the possibility also offered to all citizens of visit it from Monday to Friday, from 8.30 to 12.30, taking care of book your participation; so too will the schools that want to propose to the students little-known topics have to book in order to contribute to the maturation of the awareness that each one has a positive power to escape from the state of impotence and passivity in the face of events that seem to overwhelm us.
The exhibition makes use of the Sponsorship of the City of Alessandria and Institute for the History of the Resistance and Contemporary Society in the province of Alessandria, it was built by Sereno Regis Center of Turin and is promoted by theAssociation for Peace and Nonviolence, with the contribution of Alessandria Asti Service Center; ACLI, ASSEFA Alessandria, L'Abbraccio, Cittadinanzattiva, Emergency, Equazione, ICS, Libera, MASCI, Pronatura, L'ulivo e il libro, Vedrai… and Verso il Kurdistan have sent their support to the initiative.
