Ad Alexandria, where a 75 year old man was hit by a scooter on the sidewalk launched at high speed.

The elderly man, who arrived at the hospital with a red code, very serious conditions, has reported head contusions e in the back with cardiovascular compromises that required hospitalization for several days.

The intervention of the Local Police, at the time, could only certify the escape of the driver who, on board the scooter, once again launched himself at the maximum speed allowed by the vehicle through the pedestrian streets of the centre, as reported by witnesses and confirmed by video surveillance cameras, abandoning the injured elderly man on the ground, regardless of his serious health conditions.

The investigations aimed at finding and identifying the investor were carried out immediately collaboration between the Local Police and the Alessandria Main Station, which had a positive turn when the Carabinieri received the missing person report of a young man which, from the information provided by the complainant, corresponded perfectly with the description of the witnesses of the accident and with the driver filmed by the video surveillance cameras along the escape route.

The formal identification, also thanks to a particular accessory worn, therefore allowed to ascertain the identity of the investor, coinciding with the missing person, in fact fleeing after the accident caused and the subsequent failure to provide assistance.

Further investigations, supported by more in-depth analyses, also through the processing of telephone and telematic traffic data and georeferencing, have allowed us to identify a 24enne the person responsible for the serious fact and of report him for road injuries and failure to provide assistance.
