Sciacca: Vandalizes the historic center, commits a theft and harasses passers-by and shopkeepers, woman placed in an assisted therapeutic center
The State Police of Sciacca, within the scope of institutional services, has executed the security measure order issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Sciacca, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, against a young woman, considered a socially dangerous person because she was responsible for crimes and behaviors that have caused great social alarm among the population of Sciacca. The judicial provision arises from the activity carried out by the Police authorities, in full synergy with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sciacca which coordinated the investigations, which, received numerous reports and complaints, have collected the elements necessary to outline the serious behavior by the woman, whose conduct needed to be curbed both to avoid its dangerous repetition and for the purposes of her own protection and to provide her with the necessary care.
Indeed, in recent months the woman had damaged several ceramic vases present in the historic center, committed a theft and caused disturbance and harassment to both people and the owners of various commercial activities, creating considerable concern and social alarm among residents. On one occasion the woman had been arrested by the staff of the Sciacca Police Station since, following the intervention of a patrol of the State Police Office for a reported damage committed by the aforementioned, he had attacked the officers who were trying to stop her violent conduct. In execution of the security measure, the staff of the Public Safety Commissioner of Sciacca has accompanied and placed the woman in an assisted therapeutic center in another Sicilian province.
