Agrigento, Italian Capital of Culture 2025: synergy with Caltanissetta for a shared tourist offer.

The mayor of Caltanissetta Walter Tesauro and the councilors Giovanna Candura, Guido Delpopolo, Pierpaolo Olivo, Ermanno Pasqualino, Salvatore Petrantoni Wednesday 27 November they met the mayor of Agrigento Francesco Miccichè and the administrator of the Tourist District of the Valley of the Temples (DMO) Fabrizio La Gaipa to offer their availability to plan activities and initiatives that can involve the two provincial capital cities.

The synergy, in particular, is aimed at creating a technical table to schedule activities that can be implemented during 2025, year in which Agrigento was named Italian Capital of Culture. The Province, which with its rich historical and cultural heritage will certainly be able to fascinate the tourists who come to visit it, can enrich its tourist and service offering by extending its range of action also embracing the territories of Caltanissetta.

"We wanted to meet the Agrigento administration to show our availability and underline how a widespread project can offer a further boost for all visitors - commented Mayor Walter Tesauro -. Our tour operators, with their own facilities, can guarantee greater availability for overnight stays and offer culinary, cultural and sensory experiences".

E the mayor of Agrigento, Francesco Miccichè, he has declared: "The meeting with Mayor Tesauro and his councilors proved to be constructive and fruitful. Working together, based on synergy and a common vision, is essential for the Provinces of Agrigento and Caltanissetta to outline a shared strategy that further enhances the rich heritage they possess."

The administration of Agrigento she made herself available to organize a technical table and evaluate possible forms of collaboration.  This is a precious communion of intent, which will favor the economy of the entire territory of Central and Southern Sicily, animating intense synergies and commercial collaborations that could consolidate as functional also in the future. It is a project that aims to instill a business culture that enhances tourism in its entirety by enhancing local excellence and guaranteeing the visitor a complete and satisfying experience.
