As part of the activities aimed at combating drug dealing and drug use in schools by adolescents, the Agrigento Police Headquarters recently carried out checks at a school in Sciacca (Agrigento).
The staff of the police station State Police of Sciacca, supported by the canine units of the Palermo Police Headquarters, He went to a school and checked several rooms (classrooms, gyms, bathrooms, corridors) and thanks to the use of dog units, 23 doses of hashish and marijuana were found, already packaged and probably ready for dealing, abandoned on the ground or hidden in some rooms.
Furthermore, two doses of hashish were found and seized inside a student's backpack. For this reason the young man was reported to the Prefecture of Agrigento as a drug user. The Headmaster, who had hoped for the inspection, expressed his applause for the important activity which serves as a warning to young people and an invitation to a healthy lifestyle far from the dangers of illicit drug consumption.
The checks involving all the students of the Institute did not interrupt daily school activities.
The State Police, as every year also for the current school year, is engaged in targeted checks in schools in Agrigento and the province and will continue the prevention and repression of drug trafficking activities.
