Insieme a Lucilla Andreucci, contact person for the Libera Coordination Milano e Talia Bidussa, Content and program manager, communications Holocaust Memorial, the group of minors was accompanied by the councilor for Civic Services and Participation Gaia Romani, discovering Platform 21 in Piazza Safra 1.
«It was nice to see the Memorial so full of young people – declares the councilor Romans –. We talked with them about the meaning of indifference, in the place that most of all Milano is testimony to this. Before leaving we asked the boys and girls to choose the story of one of the names of the people deported from the Central Station of Milano. It is essential to know the stories of individuals and above all of those who had the courage to overcome the wall of indifference and choose the right side to be on. I thank Libera for the extraordinary work she does, this is in fact how we can transmit to the younger generations the ideals of justice and legality which, not only on this day, must inspire daily actions and behaviors».
