Signed the “Legality Protocol”: “Prevent and combat the infiltration of organized crime into economic activities

The "Legality Protocol", signed by the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi and the President of Confapi, Cristian Camisa, will integrate the previous agreement stipulated in April 2017.
The Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and the President of Confapi, Cristian Camisa, have signed a “Legality Protocol”, with the aim of preventing and combating the infiltration of organized crime into economic activities.
The new agreement, which restores even greater efficiency to the tools already provided for by the previous agreement stipulated in April 2017, is part of the initiatives promoted by the Ministry of the Interior with the trade associations aimed at extending the system of anti-mafia checks in the sector of economic relations between private individuals.
“Legality and security represent an indispensable framework for the exercise of freedom of enterprise” stressed the Minister Piantedosi. “Defending the legal economy from the aims of criminal organizations means contributing to creating the necessary conditions for the protection of competition and healthy market development. And the protocol signed with Confapi is in this direction. An agreement that renews and gives new impetus to a fruitful collaboration already started in 2017, thanks to which important results have been achieved in the fight against mafia infiltration, to the benefit of the growth of the economy and the relaunch of production activities" showed the owner of the Interior Ministry.
“Small and medium-sized private industries are the driving force of the country, they constitute the backbone of the Italian production system, representing its identity, tradition and innovation” highlighted President Camisa. “We are very satisfied - adds - for being the first Confederation to have signed the renewal of the protocol. The fruitful collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and the joint work carried out in recent years, which we renew today with Minister Piantedosi whose commitment and work we particularly appreciate, reiterate with great force, even symbolically, our belief that the legality goes hand in hand with growth and work".
