“Safe Tuscany”, the Autolinee Toscane project.
In agreement with institutions, prefectures and law enforcement agencies, Tuscan bus lines is defining the project “Safe Tuscany” which involves the use of a integrated safety system on board each vehicle (video surveillance and emergency button) capable of discouraging illegal acts, but above all of calling the police and, thanks to the single number 112, activating immediate intervention.
A training course for Autolinee Toscane staff is also planned, thanks to the collaboration of the police forces and a streaming system - which can only be activated in the case of a danger signal from the driver by pressing a special emergency button defined as "panic button” – which will allow you to see the cameras on the vehicle live from the radio room, so as to be able to quickly ascertain the dynamics of the situation and speed up interventions and subsequent investigations.
This is a system that increases the safety of passengers and employees, in compliance with privacy regulations, facilitating the police in their work.
The mayor of the Municipality of Grosseto Anton Francesco Vivarelli Colonna and the councilor for the Municipal Police Riccardo Megale they said they were very satisfied with the project presented.
