Fighters of the Wagner mercenary group are lined up in the streets near the Russian headquarters of the Southern Military District in the city of Rostov-on-Don. The Russian Defense Ministry issued an appeal to the Wagner mercenaries stating that they were “deceived into Prigozhin's criminal adventure” and urging them not to participate “in the armed uprising”.
"We appeal to the fighters of the Wagner assault teams,” reads the appeal, reported by Tass, which reminds us that “many of your comrades from different detachments have already realized their mistake” and asked for help to leave the formation led by Prigozhin.
“We ask you to exercise caution and contact representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense or law enforcement agencies as soon as possible. We guarantee everyone's safety", concludes the Ministry of Defense.
