The increases have started for workers with incomes of less than 35 thousand euros
With the publication in the Official Journal, yesterday, 3 July 2023, of the conversion law of decree no. 48/2023 increases are triggered for workers with incomes of less than 35 thousand euros.

With the publication in the Official Journal today of the law converting decree no. 48/2023, higher paychecks for around 14 million workers. In fact, there is a six percentage point cut in the contribution rate for employed workers who earn up to 35 thousand euros gross per year for the pay periods from July to December 2023. The cut for those earning up to 25 thousand euros is seven percentage points.
«Thanks to this intervention we support the purchasing power of families by cutting the contribution wedge and respond in a more inclusive way, concretely to their needs. The law aims to promote work, accompany people through training and support fragilities with interventions such as the new inclusion allowance. The latest Istat data - which show a positive balance of 383 thousand more employed in one year - confirm that we are on the right track. Our commitment is to continue working to improve the intersection between job supply and demand and the quality of work, in favor of greater safety and better wages", comments the Minister of Labor and Social Policies, Marina Calderone.
