Blue Flags 2024, in Italy they rise to 236: here's where the 485 top beaches are.

Go up to 236 coastal locations who will be able to boast of the recognition Blue Flag 2024, ten more than last year. Banner that this year, for the 38th edition, will fly 485 beaches with excellent sea for 4 consecutive years (27 more than in 2023) which correspond to approximately11,5% of those awarded worldwide.

On the other hand, the number of tourist destinations that obtained the award dropped from 84 to 81 international recognition of the Fee (Foundation for Environmental Education), based on 32 Program criteria.

Always first on the podium Liguria which marks 2 new entries but loses two Flags, thus confirming 34 locations; there Puglia rises to 24 with 3 new Municipalities and one exit, while they follow on equal merit with 20 Bandiere la Campania , Calabria, with one additional award each. With a new entry, the Marche they receive 19 Blue Flags, while it drops to 18 Toscana that loses a municipality. There Sardinia confirms its 15 locations, also theAbruzzo rises to 15 with a new entry, the Sicilia reaches 14 Flags with three new entries, the Trentino Alto Adige rises to 12 with two more municipalities, the Lazio stays at 10. In Emilia Romagna 9 locations awarded and the 9 Flags reconfirmed Veneto. The Basilicata confirms its 5 locations, and there are always 5 Municipalities in Piemonte who get the Flags. There Lombardia confirms 3 Municipalities, the Friuli Venezia Giulia keeps its 2, like the Molise. This year there are 23 Blue Flags on the lakes, with 2 new ones.

In total there are 14 new inputs: Ortona (Abruzzo), Parghelia (Calabria), Cellole (Campania), Borgio Verezzi (Liguria), Recco (Liguria), Porto Sant'Elpidio (Marche), Lecce (Puglia), Manduria (Puglia), Patù (Puglia), Letojanni (Sicily), Scicli (Sicily), Taormina (Sicily), Tenno (Trentino Alto Adige), Vallelaghi (Trentino Alto Adige). Four municipalities were not reconfirmed: Ameglia (Liguria), Taggia (Liguria), Margherita di Savoia (Puglia) and Marciana Marina (Tuscany).
