Verona. Damaged Guardrail barriers, 80 thousand euros allocated to repair them.

Road safety also involves the integrity of guardrail barriers, whose task is to contain the impact of vehicles traveling on the road, preventing them from going off the road, but also to protect vulnerable users on pedestrian and/or cycle-pedestrian paths.

Therefore fundamental repair those who come as soon as possible damaged due to road accidents or other adversities, even more so if they are on roads with a high percentage of traffic.

This is the case of the barrier that occurred on the T4-T9 brace but also those in via Vigasio, in via Mantovana, in via del Pestrino, in via Sommacampagna (intersection with via Fenilon), in via Legnago (motorway overpass), on the S.Francesco bridge (Lungadige Galtarossa) and in strada La Rizza.

Eight interventions that the Administration considered in urgent need carry out and for which the works will start in the first few days of February. The necessary resources, about 80 thousand euros, are made available by the Street Gardens Street Furnishings Directorate.

"This is an important intervention to make some roads in our city safe because the guardrails are an element in favor of the protection of road users - states the Roads Councilor Federico Benini -. Work that will actually begin in the next few days".
