Brescia, here is the commission for equal opportunities

Brescia, The new Equal Opportunities Commission of the Municipality of Brescia took office on 3 September 2020.
The Bureau, in the persons of President Ippolita Sforza and the Vice Presidents Caterina Gozzoli and Roberta Pavan, on behalf of the entire Equal Opportunities Commission, has chosen the week of the International Day against Violence against Women to present itself to the Citizens and to reiterate , in the wake of the previous Commission, its commitment against all forms of violence against women.
Violence against women must be named in all its manifestations as required by the Istanbul Convention, not only the physical one, but also the more subtle one, psychological, economic and witnessed violence; the Cpo intends to dedicate energy to initiatives aimed at combating all forms of violence. She wants to do it starting from the strength of women, as an antidote to violence. It is by recognizing each other's value and creating strong relationships that men and women can build a better world that is more respectful of differences.
The Cpo wishes that the female voice, which even in this terrible health emergency has taken on the care, research and protection of people without being adequately listened to, is able to emerge and emerge from the invisibility to which it is often relegated. Time has changed, people have changed and want to hear this voice at all levels.
The Cpo, in synergy with the School, the Institutions, the Associations, the press, wants to be reflected in the gaze of women, listen to them, give voice to their needs and desires and promote their creativity, enhancing their diversity. To do this, the Cpo will address various thematic areas, by way of example only, we will carry forward the commitment to spread the thought of equal opportunities, gender policies and equal dignity but also of diversity and added value both in the world of work and in society and in politics, not only through the reclamation of often violated rights but with the diffusion of knowledge of good practices and a language free from stereotypes and prejudices. In times of the pandemic, the economic situation that has affected everyone has outlined a picture of precariousness, including for women, which requires positive actions to create equal opportunities both in work and in managing family care. A lot of work has been done and there is still a lot to do.
The desire and hope that we can continue to build and strengthen the path of respect for differences, of inclusion that Humanity will follow to overcome difficulties and contribute to creating a better world.
