Venice: Three arrests at Marco Polo airport for false documents.

The State Police arrested three foreign citizens in possession of falsified passports. Another passenger reported for having documents that were not his own.

Venice: Three arrests at Marco Polo airport for false documents.

Last Thursday, the State Police of Venice arrested three foreign citizens for the crime of possession of false identity documents.

The operators ofVenice Border Police Office, in service at the Marco Polo Airport in Tessera, they noticed anomalies in the Peruvian passports and in French identity card exhibited by two women and a man disembarked from a flight from Athens.

After thorough investigations, all documents were found to be counterfeit, and in the two passports were also identified fake stamps.

Arrests and reports

Following the checks, the three foreign citizens were arrested.

In addition, another passenger on the same flight was reported, since in possession of original documentation in the name of a different person.

It should be noted that the criminal proceedings are still ongoing and that the the guilt of the subjects must be ascertained with a final sentence.
