Venice: State Police intensifies controls. 3 subjects arrested.

The State Police continues its unceasing activity aimed at preventing and combating widespread crime throughout the Metropolitan City of Venice, with particular attention to initiative activities aimed at preventing crime and controlling the territory.

Thanks to these activities, during the current week the State Police has executed 3 arrest warrants issued by the Judicial Authority.

In fact, a patrol car from the Venice Police Headquarters, passing through Mestre, noticed a foreign citizen who, at the sight of the officers, attempted to flee.

The man was promptly stopped by the officers and, following further checks, was found to be the recipient of a custodial order issued by the Court of Padua.

The man was arrested by the patrol cars and taken to the local prison.

Also in the last few days, the operators of the Venice Highway Police, on Highway Surveillance duty, proceeded to check a car and its two occupants.

But from the investigations carried out on one of the passengers, an execution order for imprisonment emerged.

The woman, an Italian citizen of about fifty years of age, found guilty of residential burglaries and thefts committed against elderly people using the hugging technique, had to serve a residual prison sentence of 4 years and 10 months.

Arrested by the Highway Police, she was also taken to the local prison.

Last Tuesday, the police officers at the Mestre Police Station also executed a prison order issued by the Bologna Prosecutor's Office against a forty-year-old.

The man, untraceable in the Emilia region, was tracked down in Mestre.

Found guilty of the crime of robbery committed in Bologna, he was identified by the police officers of the Mestre Police Station who, after completing the routine checks, arrested him and took him to prison where he will have to serve a sentence of two years and six months in prison.
