The police of the Venice Air Border arrested her and took her to the Venice Giudecca prison where she will have to serve 11 months in prison.
Venice: State Police, foreign citizen arrested at Marco Polo airport in execution of prison order.
The State Police of Venice arrested a foreign citizen pursuant to a prison order issued by the Court of Verona.
The woman, who landed at Marco Polo Airport in Tessera on a flight from Belgrade, was fully identified by the operators of the Venice Border Police.
Following the checks, an order of execution for imprisonment was issued against her following a conviction issued by the Court of Verona for a robbery committed in Verona in November 2015.
At that time the woman had stolen a jacket from a shop in the historic center of Verona.
Furthermore, the same woman, caught red-handed, in an attempt to escape, allegedly used violence both against an employee of the business and against the police officers who intervened to stop her.
Therefore, in execution of the aforementioned sentence, the police of the Venice Air Border arrested her and took her to the Venice Giudecca prison where she will have to serve 11 months of imprisonment.
