Venice, Marco Polo Tessera Airport: A foreign citizen arrested for aiding illegal immigration

Yesterday, the State Police of Venice a foreign citizen was arrested in execution of a prison order issued at the end of last February. In particular, the man, upon disembarking at Marco Polo Airport in Tessera from a flight from Dubai, he was fully identified by the operators of the Venice Border Police. Following the checks, it turned out that there was an arrest warrant pending against him following a conviction issued by the Court of Appeal of Trieste, since held responsible for the crime of aiding illegal immigration for having facilitated and organised, in 2020, the transit of irregular migrants across the Italian-Slovenian land border.
