Venice, State Police conduct extraordinary checks in Marghera: arrests, reports, and repatriations.

As the Christmas festivities, State Police of Venice has strengthened the extraordinary territorial control services, with particular attention tourban area of ​​Marghera, to counteract the phenomena of widespread crime, clandestine immigration, urban decay e drug addiction.

The activities, coordinated by the Flying Squad of the Venice Police Headquarters, were carried out with the support of theImmigration officeand Scientific Police,UPGSPand Anti-Crime Police Division and Police Stations of Mestre and MargheraThe operational contribution of the Crime Prevention Department, of contingents of the Mobile Unit of Padua and Anti-drug canine unitDuring the checks, the operators proceeded toidentification and control of 44 people, some of which with police history.

During the operations they were also quantities of narcotic substances seized type cocaine and hashish, in addition to one large sum of cash, believed to be likely proceeds from drug dealing activities. Following the investigations, four foreign citizens, results irregulars on the national territory and with police records, they were accompanied to the Repatriation Detention Centers (CPR), awaiting repatriation to their respective countries of origin.

Further measures have concerned two foreign citizens, also with numerous precedents, which have been reported to the Judicial Authority for violation of the Mandatory Street Sign. Another person of foreign nationality was instead reported for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing. Finally, a man of foreign nationality was arrested for possession for the purpose of drug dealing, at the end of the investigative and operational activities conducted in the area.
