Venice: Three reported for theft from university students

Venice: Three reported for theft from university students

La State Police of Venice he reported to theJudicial authority three alleged perpetrators of a theft against some university students, which occurred near the Constitution Bridge, in one of the most frequented areas of the lagoon city. According to the reconstruction, the young women were victims of the theft of a wallet and a cell phone, subtracted from three subjects while they were near the bridge. Having immediately noticed what had happened, the students attempted to hinder the escape of one of the suspects, attracting the attention of passers-by with cries for help.

The intervention of some was providential DIGOS police officers from the Venice Police Headquarters, who were in the area engaged in another service. Attracted by the screams, the officers intervened promptly, managing to stop and block the three subjects and recover the stolen goods, then returned to its rightful owners.

At the end of the in-depth investigations, all three were reported to the Judicial Authority for the crime of theft. One of the accused was also charged with a further offence: the man was in fact reported for violating the Mandatory Exit Permit by the Municipality of Venice, preventive measure previously ordered by the Quaestor of Venice.

The other two subjects, however, were move away from the lagoon city through the application of the DACUr provision., to protect urban safety and civic decorum. The operation confirms theconstant attention of the State Police in contrast to predatory crimes, especially in areas with a greater influx of tourists and students, ensuring a emergency response to protect citizens and visitors.
