Mestre, wanted for robbery and theft: arrested overnight by the State Police.

La State Police of Venice arrested, last Thursday night, a man of foreign nationality who was the recipient of a precautionary custody order in prison, issued following a series of crimes committed in the Piave district of Mestre during the spring of 2024.

The investigative activity, conducted by Flying Squad under the coordination of Public Prosecutor's Office of Venice, has allowed us to collect serious circumstantial elements against the suspect, already known to the police for numerous previous convictions.

According to what has been reconstructed by the investigators, the man would be responsible for aggravated robbery, theft e stolen, episodes that had contributed to fueling the sense of insecurity in the area.

During the evening checks, the officers of the Steering wheels They identified the suspect in Mestre, arrested him and took him to the Police Headquarters for further checks.

The investigations revealed that the man was also the recipient of a Mandatory street notice with ban on return to the Municipality of Venice, a provision violated several times.

The check also confirmed the presence of theprecautionary custody order in prison, which made the restrictive measure immediately enforceable.

After the formalities, the man was associated with the Santa Maria Maggiore prison, where it will remain available to the judicial authorities for the subsequent stages of the proceedings.
